Pigment Red 53:1 affords standard red shade while much yellower shade than Pigment Red 57:1, it exhibits good fastness to series organic solvents but not satisfactory light fastness. PR53:1 is one of the most important colorants used for printing inks, and also used widely in plastics.
1. Inks: used for all types of printing inks via the specific after treatments;
2. Plastics: used for situations where light fastness is a minor concerned PE, PVC, PUR foam etc.
3. Coatings: poor light fastness restrict it’s application in coatings and emulsion paints, but still used for general industrial paints as well.
4. Others: colored pencils and crayons, etc.
